It’s summer time! Enroll at Bert Lozada Swim School

It’s that time of the year again! Kids need a lot of entertaining activities this summer.Swimming is perfect for the kids and for the whole family too! Swim time will always be part of every kid’s summer.

We recently had a short but sweet escape from all the hustle and bustle of Manila 2 weeks ago…We celebrated my birthday, my kids’ birthday and our anniversary while my husband was here for a week long vacation.

My kids both enjoyed playing in the water while burning their skin in the scorching heat of the sun but I was always worried because I know that they do not know how to swim. I am always conscious and on my toes every time they swim away from me. Now i realize that swimming is a life skill. It really is.

Learning how to swim will not only keep our bodies fit but it can save lives! I am now convinced that enrolling in a formal swimming lesson is an investment after attending an exclusive parent and kids swimming session with Bert Lozada Swim School.

Last saturday, March 19,2016 , mommy bloggers and our kids had an exclusive swimming coaching session from Bert Lozada Swim School.

We were grouped according to our level of strengths. The kids were also grouped according to age.

Here are some snapshots of our BLSS experience.

For the late Remberto “Bert” C. Lozada, swimming is not just a leisure sport but also a means of preserving one’s life.  It encourages self-confidence, reliability, independence and judgment.  More importantly, there is an increasing need for all young people to cope with the environment of water in order to at least be able to save their own lives.  This is the philosophy that keeps BLSS at the top of the industry since 1956.  From a single swim lesson provider, BLSS is now the largest and best managed swim school in country today.

BLSS has a pool of competent staff composed of educators and coaches, some of who are members of the World Swimming Coaches Association (WSCA) and certified by the Australian Council for the Teaching of Water-safety and Swimming (AUSTSWIM).  As part of the company’s commitment to provide high quality instruction to its students, the company continuously updates its technical expertise through the staff’s participation in seminars both here and abroad such as those conducted by the United States Swim School Association (USSSA) and World Aquatic Babies and Children Association (WABC) to which BLSS is a member.  Other seminars participated in were held to various swimming centers such as the Crystal Palace Sports Center in the United Kingdom, the prestigious Leipzig Sports University in Germany and the World Swimming Clinic in Florida, USA conducted by the American Swimming Coaches Association.  BLSS is also affiliated with the World Aquatic Baby Congress (WABC) and the Australian Coaches and Swim Teachers Association (ACSTA).

“We have continuously evolved our training expertise in recognition of the numerous developments and learnings, both in technology and psychology,” Lozada shared. “Our founder, Bert Lozada, started this institution with a vision of a „drown-free Philippines‟ and we share that vision with him.” The BLSS also conducts its own research and development on the current trends in the field of swimming. Thus, it has developed its very own swimming equipment scientifically engineered for use in the various stages of its swimming programs.
